Guaranty Bank initiated the creation of a community garden in Belzoni, MS; home to its corporate headquarters. Chandra Hines and Clifton Williams mobilized community residents who became the Belzoni Community Garden Committee to prepare the land, construct 25 raised garden beds, and plan each bed with a variety of summer produce.
Items were harvested three times a week and distributed to approximately 45 families who needed food. Guaranty Bank plans to construct another 10 boxes to expand the capacity of the garden.
