Say hello to Adam Cook, our senior software developer! He’s been with the Social Assurance team since 2015 and is currently remodeling his home with his wife. Learn more about him below.
What is your role at Social Assurance and what do you like most about your job?
I am one of the software developers for Social Assurance. I write code for many different parts of the application; I also help keep things up and running. What I like most about my position is the ability to come up with and create solutions that are useful to customers.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I met my now wife working at a local grocery store in my hometown. My parents met working at that exact same store years earlier. It was my hope to send my first born child to find their future partner there but unfortunately it has closed.
How do you stay up on current trends in the marketing and social media world?
The people I work with have a tremendous amount of knowledge in this area. So, being honest, talking with my coworkers would be by far where I get most of my knowledge on trends.
What’s your earliest memory of banking/going to the bank or credit union?
I grew up in a rural area where I had the option to “detassel” corn as a job the summer of my fifth grade year. I distinctly remember going to the bank to deposit my first paycheck from that job.
What are you passionate about?
I love solving problems, both professionally and personally. When a new feature or issue comes to me at my job, especially ones that provide some complexity, I’m excited to try and find a way to solve it. I feel the same way when working on projects around my home.
